Sigrid Iversen, candidate for MN House 36B, shook a lot of hands in Farmington’s Dew Days parade. Purple is her color, and there were purple shirts all over the place. She must have brought half of 36B with her. When I commented on the enormous amount of purple shirts, Sigrid gladly pointed to her volunteer coordinators and praised the wonderful job they’ve been doing. Fantastic. I love a well organized campaign. Go Sigrid!
One of Sigrid’s biggest concerns is that we take care of our schools so we can properly prepare our kids for success. Sigrid is taking on Pat Garofalo, who recently spoke harsh words about our Minnesota teachers. (BTW, that link leads to more of “the same Pat”. If you know me, you know that Pat Garofalo’s whiney nature bugs me to no end.)
Sigrid has a good shot at the seat. According to our taxes, about half of MN House 36B leans Democratic. Woot!
