MN03 Paulsen Pockets Are Deep After GOP House Very Successful First Six Months

Did you catch Speaker Ryan being interviewed by FOX NEWS’ Tucker Carlson show in March ?

Carlson questioned how long it might take for Republicans to make good on their campaign promises, especially considering their ultra-light work schedule.

“In April, we checked, the House is in session for eight days in April,” Carlson pointed out.
Ryan scrambled for a good answer, “Actually, w, w, we’re producing a lot here. I’m very excited about it.
Carlson wouldn’t let him off the hook, asking “you’re only there for eight days in April? What is the reason for that?”

Ryan claimed House members are using their time off because “we want to talk to our constituents.

“We want to go listen to our constituents.”

OK … so we know that Minnesota’s Third District Congressman Erik Paulsen didn’t hold any public town halls … but surely other Members must have been reaching out to their constituents and talking about the “issue” that matters.

Ya gotta wonder what Republicans Susan Brooks IN-05, Steve Chabot OH-01, Mike Conaway TX-11, Ryan Costello PA-06, Jeff Denham CA-10, Rodney Frelinghuysen NJ-11, Anderson “Drew” Ferguson IV GA-03, Bob Goodlatte VA-06, Jeb Hensarling TX-05, Darrell Issa CA-49, Lynn Jenkins KS-02, Adam Kinzinger IL-16 Blaine Luetkemeyer MO-05, Patrick McHenry NC-10, Martha McSally AZ-02, Patrick Meehan PA-07, Cathy Morris Rodgers WA-05,Devin Nunes CA-22, Martha Roby AL-02, Peter Roskam IK-06, Keith Rothfus PA-12 Steve Scalise LA01, John Shimkus IL-15, Bill Shuster PA-09, Lamar Smith TX-21, Elise Stefanik NY-21, Steve Stivers OH-15, Greg Walden OR-02, Jackie Walorski IN-02, Mark Walker NC-06, “Mimi” Walters CA-45 and Don Young (AK-AtLarge) discussed with their constituents ?

Well, considering that each has a Leadership Political Action Committee (which are a back-door way of raising money and currying Congressional favor with other Members) and must have expressed the same message — Erik Paulsen needs your help.

Yep, ’cause each, as well as John Kline, made a contribution to the Paulsen For Congress re-election campaign :

Yep, the “issue” that matters is helping Erik Paulsen build a war chest for an election that is a year-and-a-half away.

These Leadership PACS were not the only ones who are concerned with keeping “the Math Guy” who thinks that the solution to every problem is a tax cut, in Congress.

Consider these corporations and groups … many that you will recognize as leaders in the alcohol, banking, hospitality, insurance, medical, medical device, oil, pharmaceutical, etc … and of course, many that he has offered legislation benefiting those companies.

Besides those Leadership PAC and business PAC, there were also contributions from private citizens … in total, during the first six months of this year, the Friends of Erik Paulsen campaign has received in excess of $1,061,000.

Is it any wonder that Erik Paulsen doesn’t hold in-person open-to-the-public Town Hall meetings … he’s just too busy holding private meetings with his true constituents.

Actually, his desk plate “Listen, Learn, Serve, Lead” says it all … there is no doubt who he is listening to … that he has learned where to get campaign donations … how to serve the Leadership PAC … and that he is leading the charge for tax cuts that for beer, medical devices, pharmaceutical, banking, etc

Yes, while many may consider that the Trump Administration and Congress cannot get anything done, ya gotta admit that Erik Paulsen has had a great six months.
